Blemish Prone Skin
Clear, flawless skin is our ultimate goal.
The first step in this journey is a Skin Vitality Consultation with Dr Sam Robson, this a 1-hour, in-depth skin health assessment. The appointment includes:
- A full skin analysis using the latest technology from FotoFinder
- Comprehensive evaluation of your current skin health
- Lifestyle and health assessment
- Discussion about any skin concerns
Our in-depth analysis allows us to look at areas of the skin that cannot be seen by the human eye. We look at 6 different aspects on the surface and below the skin, including wrinkles, break outs, pores, skin tone evenness, texture, dehydration, sensitivity and pigmentation from overexposure to the sun.
WHAT HAPPENS AT MY CONSULTATION?
During your consultation, we will take a detailed history of your skin – any previous medical or cosmetic treatments, products you use on your skin, a physical assessment of your skin plus photographs. We use specialised computer software to provide an in-depth assessment on the condition of your skin – this is a useful guide for deciding on treatment and also helps us track your progress.
It’s always good to know what you have used on your skin in the past including any prescriptions from your doctor. You could take your skincare or photos of your products along with you so we can see what you are using.
What happens after it?
- You will be emailed a detailed plan including a skincare product regime specific for your skin and a bespoke treatment plan devised by Dr Sam Robson.
- A selection of samples will be chosen specifically for your skins needs
- Lifestyle and dietary recommendations
- Follow up email with a complimentary skin review
WHAT IS ACNE?
Acne is a hormonal condition that affects the sebaceous glands in the skin.
These sebaceous glands in the follicles of the skin become overactive and over-produce sebum. The dead skin cells and the sebum form a plug and blocks the follicle. Bacteria that live on the skin – and which are usually completely harmless – can then infect the plugged follicles. This can cause the surrounding skin to become inflamed and painful, and produce pus, leading to break outs, nodules and cysts.
WHERE ARE THE POTENTIAL TREATMENT AREAS?
WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Results won’t be overnight. Your skin may start to feel better before you can see changes. Generally, you should start to see some improvement in your skin within a few weeks, but we suggest that it may take up to 2-6 months depending on the underlying issues and the treatments that you receive.
