Smoother, brighter, younger, healthier looking skin.
Professional skin-needling has been established to be a clinically effective procedure that can have remarkable results in significantly improving the appearance of your skin. It can improve acne scars, sun-damaged and ageing skin as well as reducing facial and décolleté lines, wrinkles and stretch marks.
At Temple Clinic we use 2 types of skin needling systems:
- EDS Rejuvenation
- ENDYMED™ INTENSIF
‘No Prep’ Needling Treatment
This is a fantastic new treatment which we now offer at Temple Clinic. Micro-needling surface skin renewal is combined with the infusion of Endocare growth factors and a lift and sculpt massage to stimulate collagen production in three ways.
With no pain or downtime, treatments take around 45 minutes and create an instant healthy glow. It’s a fantastic treatment for common skin complaints particularly ageing, lack lustre and tired looking skin with an impaired texture and tone.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
EDS is a pen type device that the therapist uses with specific skincare products.
Endymed Intensif uses radiofrequency at the same time as the needling. This encourages collagen stimulation deep within the tissues resulting in a much more intense treatment and more impressive results.
The effect of the needling is to make tiny little channels through the surface of the skin, allowing deep penetration of these products. The needling also stimulates collagen production which improves the texture of the skin and helps to repair scars and stretch marks.
WHAT HAPPENS AT MY APPOINTMENT?
You will be in the clinic for around 1 hour 45 mins. Firstly, your skin is thoroughly cleansed and then photos are taken. You will then have some numbing cream applied which will take about 30 minutes to work. The needling treatment takes about 30 minutes and this is followed by a light treatment. Relevant skincare will be applied following the treatment. Aftercare advice, post treatment products and how to use them will be given.
IS SKIN NEEDLING PAINFUL?
Before your treatment your skin will be numbed using a topical anesthetic so you’ll remain comfortable throughout.
HOW LONG IS THE RECOVERY TIME?
There’s no downtime after your treatment, however immediately after your EDS Rejuvenate treatment you will look as though you have moderate sunburn, and your skin may feel warmer and tighter than usual. This can last up to approx 3 days but we find that the following day your skin is just a little pink. You should be able to wear a mineral based make up the day following the treatment.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Needling starts at £300 per treatment. This includes all your aftercare products.
DO I NEED A COURSE OF TREATMENTS?
We recommend a course of treatments depending on the condition being treated, but expect at least three treatments, approximately 4-6 weeks apart.
