Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that commonly affects the central face.
For some people, persistent redness is the main concern. Others experience episodes of intense flushing, visible blood vessels, burning or stinging, sensitivity, spots or a combination of symptoms.
The skin can also become increasingly reactive to products or treatments that previously caused no difficulty.
That is why simply treating visible blood vessels doesn’t necessarily address the whole problem.
Why does rosacea skin behave differently?
Rosacea involves a complex interaction between inflammation, vascular responses, neurovascular signalling and the skin barrier.
This can create a cycle in which the skin becomes increasingly reactive.
Inflammation contributes to redness and sensitivity. A compromised barrier can make the skin more vulnerable to external triggers. Flushing creates further vascular activity.
Our objective is to help interrupt that cycle.
Rather than simply attacking redness, we aim to:
- calm inflammation
- reduce skin reactivity
- improve barrier function
- reduce background redness
- reduce flushing tendency
- improve vascular stability
- improve skin comfort
- strengthen overall skin resilience
- improve skin quality
